Hi there!
If you’re new here, welcome! If you’re familiar with my work, you are probably pleased to read this article because let’s face it, it’s about time!
Sooo I’m Elena! I’m the person bugging you every single day with quotes! And since I’m doing this, I think it’s just about time to get to know each other better.
As you probably noticed, I’m a book lover. And moreover, I’m a beauty lover. And that’s why not all my quotes come from books.
Now, let me tell you a little bit about myself: I’m a 32 y/o single mom of a 9 months old boy. We live in Romania; a country forgotten by everyone except problems.
I’m a single mom because my ex husband thought a naked body values more than a family… I guess men are men… or maybe he is an exception. Whatever!
I know I haven’t been answering your comments and emails, but I really have little to no time to breathe, nevertheless to do other things. My son is like a nuclear power: he has endless energy. I barely manage to upload and schedule the quotes… But believe me I read all your comments and emails! But I haven’t had the time to answer and probably I won’t do it now either. And I really really apologize for that (both the past and the future lack of comments from my side)!
I currently have a job at a pawn shop here and my dream is to become a freelancer by doing what I love the most for the people that need the most!
My passions are to read, write and design stuff, but since I have no studies or certificates in these areas, no one would hire me. This is actually one of the reasons I started a blog. I believe I have something good to bring into the world, so why should I keep myself from doing something that might make the world a better place?
Okay, this being said, lemme tell you about what I would like to do with this blog so I can achieve my dream of becoming a freelancer:
- I would like to constantly post some written posts like this one about whatever topic that comes to my mind (hopefully weekly);
- I want to create and design some POD stuff (e.g. mugs, t-shirts, pillows and so on) with some of my personal quotes;
- I would like to create some form of book with personal quotes;
- I want to create some notebooks where you can write the quotes you love the most;
- I want to create some personalized designs you can give to your loved ones (e.g. love letters);
- I want to update the recommend book list daily;
- And others (let’s keep some mystery between us, shall we?)…
These projects might take years, but I feel it’s going to be worth it! And if you still decide to come and visit my humble blog, my son and I thank you from the bottom of our souls and hearts!
Talk to you soon!
Love,
Elena

My son, this blog and coffee is what keeps me alive and going while fighting alcoholism!
Not all men are like that. I’m sorry your husband turned out to be a rat. Most of us are decent honest men!
Touching and inspiring
My mother raised five of us alone , I can relate on how she struggled to keep us growing in a cruel world, You has inspired me to press on too. Thanks
It is always good to state goals aloud. Putting them in form is like making a promise. I did that when I was 30, a promise to be published by 40. Like you i had a young son, a hard time-consuming job, too. But I started to snatch time to write from other things that did not bring me joy, and wrote in little journal books and occasionally online (Google Drive is good, available “anywhere”) but you can use notes app on your phone too. Long story short (too late) I finished a draft of a novel (1.5 actually) within 2 years, then spent time editing, rewriting and getting beta readers to give me feedback. That first novel was published when I was 37. The second novel (remember I said 1.5) was published just before I turned 40.
You CAN do what you set your mind to. Stating it here is your first step. Keep going!
I am not a single mom but I have a daughter with two children: a boy 3 and a girl 5 and a dog named Moxie and they all lived with me since her relationship ended with her boyfriend. And I feel like a single grandmother raising three children and a dog. I was in retirement mode but I am busy taking care of everyone’s wounds, taking the grandchildren back and forth to school and other activities but I find the time to write and blog. I know that it is hard but do not give up. Keep your dreams alive and there are men in this world that will treat you with love and respect. Do not comprised your value to settle for second best. This is a suggestion if you want to be a designer or start designing go to Zazzle.com and read the information and see if you would like to start your own online store and start an online business. and sell your design to the public. To get an idea go to my online store: Liz Daniel

When you have designed the pillow, and if you want to sell it in USA, let me know. I sell products to older people in USA, all for the benefits of health and happiness.
Thank you for this post. You have inspired me to want to write something similar. And sorry about what happened with you and your ex-husband. It takes a lot to express your feelings on the internet.
Thank you Elena for an inspirational introduction. I am Mary From Papua New Guinea. I came to your page because you had liked my story on plessingsing.com so I wondered who liked it thus I arrived to your blog. Looking forward to follow this page today onwards.
This website is standard, but it’s really good. how’d you do it?
Reblogged this on Public portfolio of my Development studies.
I loved reading your goals, I hope that you’re able to achieve them. 🙂 How are you going with them now?
